Where is the work happening?
- On Bovaird Drive from Kennedy Road to Highway 410.
What are we doing?
The work includes:
- Placing final top surface asphalt
- Painting permanent pavement markings
When?
- Construction Start: Thursday, October 6th, 2022 (weather permitting)
- Construction Finish: Friday, October 7th, 2022 (weather permitting)
- Incomplete works caused by weather delays, will be moved to the following week during the daytime.
Working Hours
- Paving operations will be occurring during the daytime
- Hours of operation are from 4:30am to 7pm. Expect major traffic delays during these daytime hours.
- These hours follow the citys by-laws. Extended working hours will cause inconvenience to the public and businesses, however, will help facilitate completion of the project as quickly as possible.
- Pacific Paving has been contracted to complete the work on the Regions behalf.
Traffic Control
- Daytime lane closures, driveway access and intersection closures will cause traffic delays.
- The project will be phased to minimize traffic disruption while maintaining a safe working environment as required under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Existing traffic flows will be maintained with some restrictions during construction. However, due to the nature of the work, we will need to reduce traffic lanes in each-direction as required.
- Peel Regional Police will be on site to assist with safe movement of traffic, as may be required.
- Please use caution when travelling through the work zone.
