Watermain and sanitary sewer replacement and improvement
Edenborough Drive, Edgebrook Crescent, and Exeter Place. Project 20-1340B/20-2300A
The Region of Peel has been working in your neighborhood to replace the watermain and sanitary sewer on Edenborough Drive, Edgebrook Crescent and Exeter Place.
At this time, we have:
- Replaced the watermain and sanitary sewer on Edenborough Drive, Edgebrook Crescent, and Exeter Place,
- Connected some of the properties to the new watermains and sanitary sewers by replacing individual water service pipes/boxes and wastewater service pipes on Edenborough Drive, Edgebrook Crescent, and Exeter Place,
- Temporarily repaired the driveways, road, curbs, sidewalk and sod (grass) where disturbed by the watermain and sanitary sewer replacement work.
The remaining work has been put on hold due to the weather. We have left the construction site in a safe condition for the winter.
Schedule for remaining construction and repair work
We expect to start work again in February or March, 2023 (depending on weather conditions) to complete the following:
- Connecting properties to the new watermain and sanitary sewer by replacing individual water service pipes/boxes and sanitary sewer connections on Edenborough Drive, Edgebrook Crescent and Exeter Place,
- Repairing / Completing the repair of driveways, road, curbs, sidewalk and sod (grass) where disturbed by the watermain and sanitary sewer replacement work. This will include replacing the temporary asphalt repairs on driveways, curbs, sidewalks, and roads to complete the final restoration.
We plan to complete this work in the middle of 2023.
More details about restoration will be shared in a follow-up notice.
Settlement of the ground
It is normal for repaired areas to settle a bit in the coming months. If you notice large potholes forming in the driveway, street, lawn or boulevard, please let us know and we will ensure the contractor fixes this.
