Sanitary sewer replacement and improvement
Nanwood Drive. Project 19-2300_E
The Region of Peel has been working in your neighborhood to replace the aging sanitary sewer along streets. This work is required to maintain and improve existing wastewater services.
At this stage in the project, temporary road closure(s) will be required to complete the asphalt restoration works.
Traffic impacts due to full road closure
- Nanwood Drive will be closed to all through traffic from Cathedral Road to Golding Avenue on May 31, 2023, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- A detour route will be clearly marked with road signs.
- Residents who live on the street will have access to their homes, and there will be no on-street parking.
- If this date needs to be revised due to inclement weather, an update notice will be provided.
Temporary road closures for road paving
- Nanwood Drive will be temporarily closed on various days from June 1 to 9, 2023, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to complete the various stages of paving works.
- We don’t expect the work to take this long on your street, however we have allowed additional time in the event of continued inclement weather.
- During this time, traffic will be directed by flag persons. Emergency service vehicles and school buses will be permitted to cross through the closure with guidance from the onsite contractor.
- Residents who live on the street will have access to their homes.
Parking
- Please do not park on the street from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. when paving is scheduled for your street.
- Please ensure the road is cleared of vehicles (and any type of materials) at these times.
- We have arranged for a street parking enforcement exemptions from the City of Brampton on Lawrence Crescent, Leinster Road and Cornwall Road during the road paving work.
- Please note that all other parking laws remain in place, including proper clearance from hydrants and stop signs.
We apologize for any delays or inconvenience resulting from these works.
