Sanitary sewer replacement and improvement
Crescent Hill Drive South. Project 19-2300_E
The Region of Peel has been working in your neighborhood to replace the aging sanitary sewer along streets. This work is required to maintain and improve existing wastewater services.
At this stage in the project, temporary road closure(s) will be required to complete the asphalt restoration works.
Driveways
- Asphalt removals and paving of driveways are scheduled to take place May 29 to May 31, 2023, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Please avoid parking in your driveway when it is being repaired to provide maximum access to the construction crew.
- The construction crew will knock on your door before work on your driveway begins. If you will not be home weekdays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. during driveway paving, please do not leave any vehicles in the driveway.
- Once the driveway is repaired, it is important to avoid driving on the new asphalt for the first three hours afterwards, and to avoid parking on the new asphalt for one day.
Temporary road closures for road paving
- Crescent Hill Drive South will be temporarily closed daily from May 29 to June 9, 2023, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.to complete the various stages of paving works.
- We don’t expect the work to take this long on your street, however we have allowed additional time in the event of continued inclement weather.
- During this time, traffic will be directed by flag persons. Emergency service vehicles and school buses will be permitted to cross through the closure with guidance from the onsite contractor.
- Residents who live on the street will have access to their homes.
Parking
- Please do not park on the street from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. when paving is scheduled for your street.
- Please ensure the road is cleared of vehicles (and any type of materials) at these times.
- We have arranged for street parking enforcement exemptions from the City of Brampton on the east end of Crescent Hill Drive South, and Crescent Hill Drive North during the road paving work.
- Please note that all other parking laws remain in place, including proper clearance from hydrants and stop signs.
Bus stop
The City of Brampton Bus Stop located at the southeast corner of Dixie Road and Crescent Hill Drive South will be temporarily relocated on June 6 during the working hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- The bus stop will be relocated to the hydro pole approximately 65m south of the existing bus stop.
- City of Brampton Transit will install and remove the temporary bus stop signage
- School buses will also be relocated to this location.
We apologize for any delays or inconvenience resulting from these works.
