Notice of temporary road closure - Sanitary Sewer Replacement and Improvement
Tullamore Road at Kennedy Road South (Regional Road 16) Project 19-2300E
The Region of Peel will be working in your neighbourhood to replace the aging sanitary sewer along Tullamore Road. This work is required to maintain and improve existing wastewater services.
At this stage in the project, we need to install a sewer pipe along Tullamore Road and connect it to existing underground pipes where Tullamore Road meets Kennedy Road South. A temporary road closure will be required to complete this work.
Traffic impacts
Tullamore Road will be closed to incoming and outgoing traffic at the intersection of Kennedy Road South (Regional Road 16). Vehicles will be able to access Tullamore Road from the west end of the street. This temporary road closure will take place on weekdays from January 30 to February 17, 2023 during the working hours of 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. When the work is completed each day, the road closure will cease, and traffic will be allowed to drive through the work zone.
- During this closure, a detour route will be clearly marked with road signs. Please see the attached map for the detour route.
- Residents who live on the closed portion of Tullamore Road will have access to their homes and businesses.
- While this work is underway, there will be no on-street parking.
- Garbage pickup and routing will not be affected by this closure.
This road closure may cause traffic delays. We ask for your patience and will try to minimize any delays.
