Watermain replacement and improvement

Rescheduled notice of temporary traffic impacts – Elizabeth Street South and Queen Street West. Project 18-1380

The Region of Peel has been working in your neighborhood to replace the watermain along Queen Street West. This work is required to maintain and improve existing water and wastewater services.

At this stage in the project, temporary lane closures and turning restrictions will be required to complete this work.

Traffic impacts

It will be necessary to dig a temporary trench in the eastbound lanes of Queen Street at Elizabeth Street South.

For this reason:

A detour route will be clearly marked with road signs. Residents who live on Elizabeth Street South will be able to access their homes from Wellington Street West.

These temporary traffic impacts were delayed and are now expected to occur from 7 a.m. on Monday, March 6, 2023, until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. We apologize for any delays or inconvenience resulting from these traffic impacts.
