The Regional Municipality of Peel
By-law number 41-2025

A by-law to designate a Community Safety Zone on Regional Road 150 (Coleraine Drive/Emil Kolb Parkway) from Ellwood Drive West northerly to De Rose Avenue; and to amend By-law Number 15-2013 being a by-law to regulate traffic on roads under the jurisdiction of The Regional Municipality of Peel.

Whereas, under the provisions of section 11(3) of the Municipal Act, 2001 S.O. 2001, Chapter 25 as amended, the Council of the Regional Corporation may pass by-laws respecting highways, including parking and traffic on Highways, under the jurisdiction of The Regional Municipality of Peel (“the Regional Corporation”);

And whereas, the Council of the Regional Corporation on the 24th day of January 2013 passed By-law 15-2013 to consolidate the by-laws that regulate traffic on roads under jurisdiction of The Regional Municipality of Peel;

And whereas, under the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990 Chapter H.8, community safety zones can be designated by by-law by the council of a municipality on a part of a highway under its jurisdiction if, in the council's opinion, public safety is of special concern on that part of the highway;

And whereas, the Council of The Regional Municipality of Peel has by resolution passed on the 10th day of July, 2025, authorized the enactment of a by-law to designate a Community Safety Zone on Regional Road 150 (Coleraine Drive / Emil Kolb Parkway) from Ellwood Drive West northerly to De Rose Avenue;

Now therefore, the Council of the Regional Corporation enacts as follows:

1. That Part 24 of Schedule A of By-law 15-2013 is amended by adding the following:

   Regional Road 150	A point located 60 metres south of Ellwood Drive West and a point located 80 metres north of De Rose Avenue	Anytime
