The Regional Municipality of Peel

A by-law to implement time-of-day including weekends and holidays heavy truck restriction on Regional Road 7 between Regional Road 9 and Regional Road 24, and on Regional Road 22 between Regional Road 50 and Regional Road 7, and on Regional Road 136 between Regional Road 24 and Dufferin County Road 109, and to amend By-law number 15-2013 being a by-law to regulate traffic on roads under the jurisdiction of The Regional Municipality of Peel.

Whereas, the Council of the Regional Corporation on the 24th day of January 2013 passed By-law 15-2013 to consolidate the by-laws that regulate traffic on roads under jurisdiction of The Regional Municipality of Peel;

And whereas, the Council of The Regional Municipality of Peel has by resolution passed on the 22nd day of January, 2026 authorized the enactment of a by-law to amend By-law 15-2013 effective July 1, 2026 to implement time-of-day heavy truck restriction on Regional Road 7 (Airport Road) between Regional Road 9 (King Street) and Regional Road 24 (Charleston Sideroad), from 11:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. including all-day Weekends and Holidays;

And whereas, the Council of The Regional Municipality of Peel has by resolution passed on the 22nd day of January, 2026 authorized the enactment of a by-law to amend By-law 15-2013 effective July 1, 2026 to implement time-of-day heavy truck restriction on Regional Road 22 (Old Church Road) between Regional Road 7 (Airport Road) and Regional Road 50, from 11:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. including all-day Weekends and Holidays;

And whereas, the Council of The Regional Municipality of Peel has by resolution passed on the 22nd day of January, 2026 authorized the enactment of a by-law to amend By-law 15-2013 effective July 1, 2026 to implement time-of-day heavy truck restriction on Regional Road 136 (Main Street / Queen Street East / Porterfield Road) between Regional Road 24 (Charleston Sideroad) and Dufferin County Road 109 from 11:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. including all-day Weekends and Holidays;

Now therefore, the Council of the Regional Corporation enacts as follows:

1. That Part 18 of Schedule A of By-law 15-2013 is amended by adding the following:

   22	Regional Road 7 and Regional Road 50	11:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.; 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday to Friday, and All-Day on Saturday, Sunday and Holidays
   136	Regional Road 24 and Dufferin County Road 109	11:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.; 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday to Friday, and All-Day on Saturday, Sunday and Holidays

2. This By-law takes effect July 1, 2026.
