Watermain replacement and improvements

Victoria Terrace. Project 22-1340 C

Peel Region will be repairing the road, driveways, curbs, sidewalks, and sod (grass) where it was disturbed by our recent watermain construction.

At this stage in the project, a temporary road closure will be required to complete this work. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for your cooperation while we finish this work.

Traffic impacts

Victoria Terrace will be closed to all traffic from Main Street North to the end of Victoria Terrace. This temporary road closure is expected to occur from July 31, 2023 until August 4, 2023.

Residents who live on the street will not have access to their homes by vehicle. Businesses will not have access by vehicle. No through traffic will be allowed and there will be no on-street parking.

We apologize for any delays or inconvenience resulting from these traffic impacts.

Parking

Please ensure all vehicles are moved to other alternate streets before work begins. Please ensure the road is cleared of vehicles (and any type of materials). Please do not leave any vehicles in the driveway.

To provide an alternate parking location, we have arranged for a street parking enforcement exemption from the City of Brampton for Sproule Drive, and Mara Crescent. This exemption is valid until August 31, 2023. Please note that all other parking laws remain in place, including proper clearance from hydrants and stop signs.

Safety during construction

Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe – pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, and construction workers. When driving, walking, or biking through the construction area, please be aware of your surroundings, watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, account for delays, and consider other routes if possible. To learn more about how to stay safe in construction zones, visit peelregion.ca/workzonesafety.

Thank you for your patience as we complete this necessary work. This work will allow us to continue providing you with high quality tap water. If you have any questions, please contact us.
