Public Notice
Notice of Study Commencement and Public Information Centre Number 1 – Stormwater Servicing Master Plan for Regional Road Infrastructure
Cancellation notice
Stormwater Servicing Master Plan Public Information Centre 1 scheduled for Wed. March 25 has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.
Given that residents may be making decisions about attending public meetings at this time and in the interest of allowing everyone equal access to the PIC process, the decision was made to postpone the session.
Background
The Region of Peel has begun a strategic and integrated infrastructure planning initiative to develop a Stormwater Servicing Master plan for regional roads. The process will provide the Region with a basis to make sound decisions to service current and future growth that addresses existing issues and the expected impacts of climate change. The Stormwater Servicing Master Plan will provide a strategic, economical, and optimized vision that will guide the Region of Peel into the 2041 horizon year.
Process
This study is being planned in accordance with the Master Planning process as set out in Section A.2.7 of the Municipal Engineer Association (MEA) Class EA (October 2000, as amended in 2007, 2011 & 2015). This approach involves the preparation of a Master Plan document at the conclusion of Phase 1 and 2 of the Class EA process.
Your Input is Important
The study will take approximately two years to complete. The Region wants to ensure that anyone with an interest in this study has the opportunity to be involved and to provide input. Two Public Information Centres (PICs) will be held throughout this study. The first PIC will present the existing study area and the problem/opportunity statement as well as obtain feedback about the study.
