Watermain installation and improvement

Mayfield Road Project 14-1165

The Region of Peel has been working in your neighborhood to replace the watermain along Mayfield Road. This work is required to maintain and improve existing water services.

View attached map.

At this stage in the project, a final connection needs to be made between the new watermain and the existing watermain across Goreway Drive. A temporary road closure will be required at the intersection of Goreway Drive and Mayfield Road to complete this work.

Traffic impacts

Goreway Drive will be closed to all through traffic at the intersection with Mayfield Road, approximately 30 m south of the intersection. This temporary road closure is expected to occur from Tuesday, November 8th to Friday, November 11th. During this time, a detour route will be clearly marked with road signs. Please see the attached map for the detour route. Residents who live on Goreway Drive and Lucinda Court north of Stanley Carberry Drive will continue to have access to their homes via the detour route along Stanley Carberry Drive. No through traffic will be allowed at Goreway Drive and Mayfield Road. We ask for your patience and will try to minimize any delays.

Construction by Others on Goreway Drive

Goreway Drive, Eiffel Boulevard to Lucinda Court, are open to two-way traffic. Questions or concerns can be directed to 311.

Brampton Transit Impacts

This road closure does not affect Brampton Transit and they will be operating normally.
