Watermain installation and improvement

Mayfield Road Project 14-1165

The Region of Peel has been working in your neighborhood to replace the watermain along Mayfield Road. This work is required to maintain and improve existing water services.

View attached map.

At this stage in the project, the new watermain needs to be installed across Gordon Randle Drive. A temporary road closure will be required to complete this work.

Traffic impacts

Gordon Randle Drive will be closed to all through traffic at the intersection with Mayfield Road, approximately 40m south of the intersection. This temporary road closure is expected to occur from 7am on Wednesday, July 27th to 7pm on Thursday July 28th.

During this time, a detour route will be clearly marked with road signs. Please see the attached map for the detour route. Residents who live on the street will have access to their homes. Access to businesses will be maintained. No through traffic will be allowed and there will be no on-street parking. Access to Squire Ellis Drive will be maintained.

This road closure may cause traffic delays. We ask for your patience and will try to minimize any delays.

Brampton Transit impacts

During the road closure, Brampton Transit will temporarily re-route their Bus Route #31. Further details will be provided by Brampton Transit.

When driving, walking, or biking through the construction area, please be aware of your surroundings, watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, account for delays, and consider other routes if possible. Learn more about how to stay safe in construction zones.

Thank you for your patience as we complete this necessary work. This work will allow us to continue providing you with high quality tap water. If you have any questions, please contact us.
