Sheridan Villa’s Special Behaviour Support Unit (SBSU), the pilot program, is a 19-bed treatment unit for residents with progressive dementia and significant behavioural disturbances that cannot be managed in the community or a regular long-term care home.

Growing demand for the services provided by the Adult Day Service (ADS) at Peel Manor has resulted in an expansion of the service to Saturdays and Sundays.

- A State-of-the-Art Garden Opens at Malton Village – June 2009
Powered by solar panels, the new “green” outdoor space at Malton Village features planting beds for gardening and a drip irrigation system to reduce water demands.

- Two Regional Long-term Care Homes to Expand their Adult Day Service - Sept. 2008
Peel Manor in Brampton and Davis Centre in Bolton will add more spaces to their existing Adult Day Service (ADS) as part of the Aging at Home program of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.

Regional Chair Emil Kolb was presented with a Certificate of Accreditation from the Canadian Council on Health Care Accreditation (CCHSA). The accreditation has been awarded to the Region's three long-term care facilities - Peel Manor, Sheridan Villa and the Vera M. Davis Centre.
