Our progress
Together with Council’s leadership, community input, and clearly-set outcomes and priorities, significant progress is being made towards achieving our vision of a Community for Life.
Examples include:
- An overall customer satisfaction rating of 82% in 2024, reflecting the trust and confidence of the community.
- Significant investments were made to align water infrastructure planning with Peel’s 246,000 housing targets by 2031.
- Completion of 263 continuous improvement initiatives, resulting in $23.1 million in cost savings and $32.6 million in cost avoidance.
- The implementation of Ontario’s first emotion-focused Butterfly model of care.
- The development of Canada’s first emotion-based dementia training for first responders.
- The opening of the Seniors Health and Wellness Village at Peel Manor.
- Electrifying Peel Region’s vehicles with approximately 50 Zero Emission Vehicles and more than 100 charging stations, thus avoiding an estimated 418 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions.
