Bolton water and wastewater capacity improvements – Schedule ‘C’ Class Environmental Assessment

Background

Peel Region has initiated the Bolton Water and Wastewater Capacity Improvements Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) study. This MCEA builds off a Feasibility Study recently completed by the Region which outlined conceptual water and wastewater projects that service the additional development proposed within both the intensification and greenfield growth areas in the Community of Bolton. Additionally, the MCEA will complete a comprehensive evaluation of all potential alternatives to develop the optimal water and wastewater servicing solutions to meet existing needs and growth within the Bolton study area.

The study follows a Schedule ‘C’ Class EA process, including:

Three Public Information Centres (PICs) will be held to present the findings of the Class EA and to provide an opportunity to give feedback to the project team. PIC No. 1 will be held in person and will present the study’s problem/opportunity statement, existing study area conditions, overall evaluation approach and ask for public input. Information will be presented on display boards and staff will be available to answer any questions and discuss next steps in the study. PIC No. 1 details are provided:
