Notice of Public Meeting
Retail Business Holidays Act Tourism Exemption By-law
P.A.T. Oriental Food Market

TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council of The Regional Municipality of Peel will hold a public meeting on April 13, 2017 to consider an application by P.A.T. Oriental Food Market, 315-333 Dundas Street East, City of Mississauga for permission to be open to the public and to sell or offer to sell goods or services associated with a retail grocery store under the Retail Business Holidays Act. The by-law applied for would permit P.A.T. Oriental Food Market to remain open voluntarily between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. on New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Labour Day and Thanksgiving Day.

P.A.T. Oriental Food Market

The retail business establishment is generally located on the north side of Dundas Street East, east of Hurontario Street and is known municipally as 315-333 Dundas Street East, in the City of Mississauga.

Regional By-law

A copy of the proposed by-law, an explanation of the purpose and effect of the proposed by-law describing the retail business establishment to which the proposed by-law would apply and a key map showing the location of the lands to which the proposed by-law would apply are available from the Office of the Regional Clerk.

Public Participation

The public meeting on this application will be held on:

Any person may attend this public meeting or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed by-law. Any individual who wishes to appear before Regional Council may do so by notifying the Office of the Regional Clerk in writing or by completing the Request for Delegation Form, by April 6, 2017 for the purpose of listing your name on the agenda.

Please send the Request for Delegation Form to the Regional Clerk by e-mail or by fax at 905-791-1693. Once the above information is received in the Regional Clerk’s office, you will be contacted to confirm your placement on the agenda.

Any person may appeal a decision by Regional Council to enact the by-law to the Ontario Municipal Board.
