The Region of Peel has identified the need to address the current Front Street Station catchment area wastewater flows to align with the Region’s long-term sustainable plan to provide wastewater services. As a result a Schedule ‘B’ Class Environmental Assessment (EA) has been initiated to identify a solution for this infrastructure need.
Some or all of the solutions being evaluated will involve construction along Lakeshore Road.
The Study Process
The map shows the study and infrastructure planning areas.
The EA process includes:
- Public and stakeholder meetings
- An evaluation of alternative solution
- An impact assessment of proposed alternatives
- Identification of methods to lessen the adverse impacts to the community
Your Input Is Important
Early and active discussions with the community will be critical to identify ways to reduce the impacts of this project to local businesses, traffic and pedestrians, while evaluating and selecting the preferred solution.
Two Public Information Centres (PICs) will be held to present the findings of the study to the public and other stakeholders, and to provide an opportunity to provide comments and feedback to the project team. For more information on the project visit Region’s project web page: at peelregion.ca, water and wastewater, environmental assessments, current water and wastewater EAs, and then click on Mississauga.
As part of the consultation process, a mailing list is now being compiled. If you wish to receive further information about this project, or to submit a comment, or be added to the mailing list, please contact:
