    Garbage bag tags

    This service is for Peel residents who receive curbside waste collection services and need extra garbage to be picked up on their garbage collection day.

    Extra garbage must be placed in a black plastic garbage bag and tagged with a garbage tag.

    You can buy garbage tags online, by phone, or in person at select locations across Peel.

    Tags ordered online or by phone will arrive by mail.

    Eligibility

    You are eligible for this service if you have a home address in Peel that receives curbside waste collection.

    What you need

    To buy garbage bag tags online or by phone, you need to provide:

    • Your contact information.
    • The mailing address for the property.
    • The reason (or reasons) you need to buy bag tags.

    Fees

    Garbage tags cost $3 each and come in sheets of 5. Each sheet costs $15. All garbage bag tag sales are final and non-refundable.

    You can buy garbage tags online, by phone, or in person.

    Order tags

    By phone – VISA or MasterCard only

    • If you live in Brampton or Mississauga, call 905-791-9499.
    • If you live in Caledon, call 905-584-2216.

    In person – you can pay by cash, debit card, or credit card (VISA or MasterCard only) at select locations.

    • Garbage tags do not expire.
    • Each extra garbage bag must have a tag.
    • Single tags are not sold.
    • Tags ordered online or by phone will arrive by mail.
    • Peel Region is not responsible for the delay or loss of mailed garbage tags.
    • Alternatively, you can take extra garbage to a Community Recycling Centre (CRC). A disposal fee will apply.
