Film Permit
Applying for your permit 10 working days before your filming:
- Helps us prepare your filming location.
- Keeps participants and other residents in your area safe during your filming.
Applying for a film permit
Complete theRoad Closure Application (PDF) form.
Include a letter of intent that details:
- The production company name and complete address.
- Name of the contact person.
- Telephone, cell, fax numbers and/or email address.
- Proposed location, street names and outer limits of filming boundary.
- Proposed date and time (rain date if applicable).
- Size of film crew and number of vehicles.
- Brief description of filming, (i.e. moving shot with traffic stoppages -- up to 5 minutes accepted)
Your completedinsurance certificate (PDF). Your insurance certificate must:
- Name the Region of Peel and the relevant Area Municipality as additional insured for an amount no less than $5 million.
- Be provided to the Region of Peel a minimum of one (1) week prior to filming

Payment of $204.40 per application may be made by Visa, MasterCard
Pay in-person and deliver your other application items to:

Submission and Payment by Cheque
Make the cheque in the amount $204.40, payable to the Region of Peel.
Mail or deliver your cheque along with your completed application, insurance certificate and letter of intent to:

Your letter of intent, insurance certificate and payment is required a minimum of ten (10) working days prior to filming on Regional Roads, in order to process and approve the permit.
After you submit your application package
Once we've received the above items, we'll e-mail or fax anApproval Letter with a permit numberandIndemnification and Hold Harmless Agreementto you.
Please return the signedIndemnification and Hold Harmless Agreementat least 1 week before your filming dateand follow all the conditions outlined in your approved permit.
If you need to cancel
If you need to cancel filming, you must notify the Region of Peel.
