Good Friday Holiday Service Hours at the Region of Peel

Brampton, ON. (March 26, 2024) - Peel Region offices and non-emergency services will be closed for the Good Friday holiday on Friday, March 29, 2024.

The following non-emergency services are closed and will reopen on Monday, April 1, 2024:

Human Services

Early Years and Child Care Services will be closed on Friday, March 29, for Good Friday and will reopen on Monday, April 1. Child Care Subsidy will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

Housing Services, Client Services will be closed on Friday, March 29 (Good Friday) and Monday, April 1 (Easter Monday) and will reopen on Tuesday, April 2.

Vaccination Clinics

Routine school immunization clinics will be closed on Friday, March 29, 2024, and Monday, April 1, 2024. To check for available clinics and to book your appointment, visit routine school immunization.

Emergency shelter, food or personal support

For urgent homelessness supports, including food, supplies, referrals, and shelter, call the Street Helpline 24/7 at 1-877-848-8481. For information on emergency shelter, visit the emergency shelter web page or call 905-450-1996.

For emergency Peel Living maintenance requests, contact the 24-hour request line at 905-790-7335.

TransHelp

To travel on Friday, March 29, and Saturday, March 30, you must call 905-791-1015 or book online by 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 28.

We offer bookings up to 7 days in advance. Consider booking your next trip early to ensure your holiday travel.

Public Transit

Visit Brampton Transit and Mississauga Transit for holiday schedules.

Waste collection Brampton, Mississauga, Caledon

There is no change to waste collection on Friday, March 29. Check your collection calendar to find your pickup day or sign up to receive free waste collection reminders. Waste collection will occur on Monday, April 1 as scheduled.

All Community Recycling Centres (CRC’s) will be closed Friday, March 29, Sunday, March 31, and Monday, April 1. CRC’s will be open Saturday, March 30, and will resume regular operations from Tuesday, April 2.

Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA)

PAMA will be closed on Friday, March 29, 2024. We welcome visitors to explore our historic spaces on Monday, April 1, for a family fun activity to celebrate Spring. Admission will be complimentary throughout April, courtesy of the Sikh Foundation of Canada.
