Civic Holiday Service Hours at the Region of Peel

BRAMPTON, ON. (July 30, 2018)   Region of Peel offices and non-emergency services will be closed for the Civic Holiday on Monday, August 6 and will reopen on Tuesday, August 7.

Residents in Brampton, Mississauga and Caledon are advised that there will be no waste collection on Monday, August 6 due to the Civic Holiday. Waste collection will be one day later that week. All Community Recycling Centres (CRCs) will also be closed on Monday, August 6 and will reopen for regular operating hours on Tuesday, August 7.

Human Services Reception, Employment Resource Centres, Rent Supplement offices, Peel Access to Housing, Service Access, Ontario Works, and Peel Living offices will be closed Monday, August 6 and reopen on Tuesday, August 7. Peel Living tenants can still call the 24-Hour request line at 905-790-7335 to report any maintenance issues.

Emergency homeless shelters will remain open. You can contact them by phone or by using the online Find a Shelter tool. For emergencies related to food, medication or personal support, call the Region of Peel at 905-791-7800.

The following Regional offices and services will be closed on Monday, August 6 and will reopen on Tuesday, August 7:

TransHelp service hours for the Civic Holiday will be from 6 a.m. on Monday, August 6 to 1 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7. All trips for August 6 and 7 must be booked by 6 p.m. on Sunday, August. 5. The TransHelp Office will be closed on Monday, August 6 with regular office hours resuming on Tuesday, August 7. All subscription trips, with the exception of dialysis trips, will be cancelled for the Civic Holiday.

The Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) will be closed on Monday, August 6. The gallery will reopen on Tuesday, August 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Visit pama.peelregion.ca for more information on PAMA’s exhibits and programs.
