Details about how to apply to volunteer in a Peel Region health program.
Applicants are accepted into our volunteer program based on the successful completion of the screening process and availability of a role that matches your interests and abilities.
Completion of the application process does not guarantee placement at the Region of Peel.
Interview and references
If selected, you will meet with a member of our team for an interview.
Give 2 references at the time of interview.

Complete a Police Records Check
This applies to certain positions only. Refer to volunteer opportunities for position specific requirements.
We will give you the forms at the interview.
For Peel residents, there is a cost for volunteer Police Records Checks.
2-step TB test and COVID vaccinations
If you will be volunteering in one of our Long Term Care centres you will need to get a 2-step TB test. We will give you the forms at the interview.
You will need to go to your health care provider to complete the test and pay for the costs if any. The test takes about 2 weeks to complete.
