More information

Full closure

Request full closure for any event that requires the complete closure of a Regional road or a municipal road (or both).

Traffic movement must be diverted by a scheduled detour plan. Police must be at the event site for traffic control.

Submit your application documents at least 6 weeks before the event date.

Partial closure

Request a partial closure for any event that requires lane closures but allows traffic to continue in both directions. Police may be at the event site for traffic control.

Submit your application documents at least 4 weeks before the event date.

Rolling closure

Request a rolling closure for any event that doesn’t need any permanent lane closures.

Rolling closures are used mostly for small parade walks that use only sidewalks or bike events that close roads for a very short time. All rolling closures are contained to either lane and are monitored by police.

Submit your application documents at least 4 weeks before the event date.
