Water Quality in Peel

2008 Annual Summary Report

The 2008 Drinking Water in Peel Summary Report addresses the requirements outlined in Schedule 22 of the Ontario Drinking-Water Systems Regulation (O.Reg.170/03) under the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), 2002.

The report includes a statement of compliance and non-compliance of the Region of Peel drinking water systems with terms and conditions of the Certificates of Approval, Permits to Take Water, Drinking Water Quality Standards Regulation (O.Reg. 169/03), and the Ontario Drinking-Water System Regulation (O.Reg.170/03). The report also contains a summary of the quantities and flow rates of water supplied, including monthly average and maximum daily flows and daily instantaneous peak flow rates during the period from January 1st to December 31st, 2008.

In addition, the Report includes a summary of 2008 water quality inquiries, a list of Peel Certificates of Approval and Permits, 2008 Water Division organizational structure, and planned water quality initiatives and upcoming programs.
