Construction work starting in your neighborhood
The Region of Peel will be working in your neighborhood to replace the aging sanitary sewer and watermain along Middlegate Road from Haines Road to Stanfield Road. View area map (PDF).
This work is a part of the Region of Peel’s State of Good Repair Program to upgrade the water and sewer systems capacity and reliability.
Preconstruction survey
Sam Rabito Construction Ltd. (Sam Rabito), the Region of Peel contractor, will be completing photographic pre-construction survey to record the exterior condition of the existing buildings and structures, environmental features and road surface condition within, and along the sanitary sewer and watermain alignment. Sam Rabito representative will contact you prior to taking photos on your property. There is no cost to you for the survey and you are not obligated to have it completed, however we would recommend it. Pre-construction surveys are standard construction practice. This work will take place over the next couple of weeks, weather permitting.
Safety
The Region of Peel provides a safe environment that conforms to theOccupational Health and Safety Act,at all times.
Schedule
Construction is anticipated to start at the end of June 2016 and be completed by the end of November 2016. The final restoration work will begin in April 2017 and will be completed within two to four weeks.
Water interruption
During our construction, it will be necessary to interrupt your water supply in order to install a new water service pipe to your property. It is our goal to provide you with 48 hours (2 days) notice if we need to shut off your water. We will be conducting a water user survey in the near future to determine individual water needs. A member of our staff will contact you with respect to this.
