Subsurface utility investigation
Road widening and watermain relocations Mayfield Road from Airport Road to Coleraine Drive Town of Caledon and City of Brampton. Projects 11-4075 & 13-4065
What are we doing?
- Drilling test holes for locating subsurface utilities within the Region’s Right of Way (ROW), which may impact some residents’ driveways.
- Impacted driveways will be restored to previous condition upon completing testing.
Why?
- Subsurface utilities need to be identified for future infrastructure design. This investigation will help minimize service disruptions during the watermain improvements and subsequent road widening project.
When?
- Drilling will start the week of July 26, 2021 and will last approximately 3 weeks. Each test pit will take less than 1 day.
- The sub-contractor’s normal working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. These hours are consistent with the local municipality’s bylaws.
