Region of Peel Releases 2017 Community for Life Dashboard

Providing a full and transparent view of the Region's progress towards its vision of
Community for Life

BRAMPTON, ON. (June 28, 2018) - Today, the Region of Peel launched its 2017 Community for Life Dashboard. The dashboard provides a full and transparent view of the Region's progress towards its vision of Community for Life, while highlighting the Regional programs and services provided to bring this vision to life.

Based on the priorities of Peel residents, the Region of Peel has a guiding community vision: Community for Life, which is a place where everyone enjoys a sense of belonging and has access to the services and opportunities they need to thrive throughout each stage of their lives. The Region of Peel is guided by a 20-year Strategic Plan to create a Community for Life and uses the dashboard as an annual progress update to residents.

"We're proud to show residents how the Region is working towards creating a healthy, safe and connected community," said David Szwarc, Chief Administrative Officer. "This report demonstrates our commitment to delivering on the outcomes outlined in our strategic plan, and building a Community for Life in Peel."

This year, the dashboard is divided into three sections, using key metrics to track annual performance of Regional services, progress of the four-year Term-of-Council priorities, while monitoring key 20-year community well-being indicators. It has been enhanced to provide a dynamic and engaging experience for residents, providing a seamless experience across all devices, including mobile phones and tablets. The dashboard is also AODA compliant, with accessibility features to support residents with disabilities who use assistive technologies.
