Victoria Day Service Hours at the Region of Peel

BRAMPTON, ON (May 14, 2018) – Region of Peel offices and non-emergency services will be closed for Victoria Day on Monday, May 21 and will reopen Tuesday, May 22.

Residents in Brampton, Mississauga and Caledon are advised that there will be no waste collection on Monday, May 21 due to Victoria Day. Waste collection will be one day later that week.

TransHelp service hours on Monday, May 21 will be 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. All trips for Monday, May 21 and Tuesday, May 22 must be booked by 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 20. The TransHelp office will be closed on Monday, May 21 with regular office hours resuming on Tuesday, May 22.

In addition, the following Regional offices and services will be closed on Monday, May 21 and will reopen on Tuesday, May 22:

  • Access Peel
  • Assessment: Peel Access to Housing and Children’s Services
  • Children’s Services Operations
  • Community Recycling Centres (CRCs)
  • Employment Resource Centres
  • Human Services Reception
  • Ontario Works in Peel
  • Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA)
  • Peel Living
  • Peel Public Health clinics including:
    • Breastfeeding Clinics
    • Family Health Call Centre
    • Dental Services
    • Healthy Sexuality Clinics
  • Peel Works Needle Exchange Program (PWNEP) – Mobile Van
  • Public Works Reception
  • Rent Supplement

Emergency homeless shelters will remain open. They can be contacted by phone or by using the online Find a Shelter tool. For emergencies related to food, medication or personal support, residents can call the Region of Peel at 905-791-7800.
