Peel Plans to Welcome 500,000 New Residents and 250,000 New Jobs by 2041

BRAMPTON, ON. (Feb. 7, 2018) – The Region of Peel is growing. By 2041, we will welcome more than 500,000 new residents and 250,000 new jobs. You can learn more at one of our open houses next week or at our public meeting on February 22.
Peel will grow to accommodate nearly 2 million residents and 1 million jobs by 2041.

The Region's staff is:
- ensuring an integrated approach to planning for land use, transportation, infrastructure and finance,
- developing "complete" communities, where residents can live, work, play, shop and get around in different ways – and have a community for life,

- local municipalities to meet their communities' planning objectives, and
- community partners to get their input on where we are going to grow and how people are going to get around, and
- making it a priority to protect our environment and agriculture resources as we grow.
