October 21 is imagine a day without water

Help celebrate the importance of clean, safe drinking water in Peel

Imagine a Day Without Water raises awareness about the importance of water in our daily lives.

On October 21, imagine life without clean, safe water.

What would your day be like if you couldn’t turn a tap for clean drinking water? Or what if your shower, laundry or toilet water had nowhere to go?

The Region’s water and sanitary sewer (used water) services are so reliable, we hardly think about them.  These services have been especially important this year during the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet every day, people and hundreds of kilometers of pipes and multiple pumps bring safe water to Peel homes and businesses, then treat and return used water to the environment.

Peel students can show what it means to them to imagine a day without water enter by enteringour poster contest.

For a behind-the-scenes look, watch how Peel’s water is treated at the Arthur P. Kennedy Water Treatment Plant. Peel’s tap water is clean, good for your health and good for the environment.
