Summer Camp at PAMA! 9:00 am - 4:30 pm

Week 1 – July 4 – 8: Canada at Play!
Week 2 – July 11 – 15: Hip Hop + Art
Week 3 – July 18 – 22: Wonderful World of Water

Canada at Play – Campers will enjoy a week full of fun and games. They will interact and learn about our exhibition, Canada at Play: 100 Years of Games, Toys and Sports organized by the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM). Campers will create, play and learn about games from the last 100 years.

Hip hop + Art - Join PAMA for a week of dance and art with In the Mix! Young campers will learn cool hip hop dance moves in a high energy interactive environment and will work collaboratively in small groups to create a one of a kind music video, using iPads. Dance, paired with movement and music based art; campers will receive the opportunity to feel like SUPERSTARS!

Wonderful World of Water – Get ready to explore and experiment with water! From watercolour painting to papier-mâché and sculptures, this week is full of imagination.
The program is inspired by PAMA’s exhibit: Water and Pigment: Mysterious Interactions.

Watercolour Workshops with Marlene Madole 6:30 pm - 8:45 pm

Ages 16+
Pre-registration required.
Cost: $29.75/workshop or $76.50 for all three (members), $35/workshop or $90 for all three (non-members)

Painting with watercolour creates many different effects in diverse styles. Over the series, participants will explore some fundamental watercolour techniques: wet-on-wet, washes, colour mixing versus glazing, and direct painting. On July 7, the workshop will focus on the techniques of wet-on-wet in sections and direct painting in still life. On July 14, explore unique wet-on-wet effects. On July 21, learn how to control flat and graduated washes, and glazing in the subject of skies and landscape. Instruction is given through demonstrations, examples, one-on-one assistance and critiques.
