Thanksgiving Day Service Hours at the Region of Peel
BRAMPTON, ON (Oct. 2, 2017) – Region of Peel offices and non-emergency services will be closed for Thanksgiving Day on Monday, Oct. 9 and will reopen Tuesday, Oct. 10.
Residents in Brampton, Mississauga and Caledon are advised that there will be no waste collection on Monday, Oct. 9 due to Thanksgiving Day. Waste collection will be one day later that week. All Community Recycling Centres (CRCs) will also be closed on Monday, Oct. 9 and will reopen for regular operating hours on Tuesday, Oct. 10.
TransHelp service hours on Monday, Oct. 9 will be 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. (Oct. 10) with bus service until 10 p.m. All rides for Monday, Oct. 9 and Tuesday, Oct. 10 must be booked by midnight on Sunday, Oct. 8. The Accessible Transportation office will be closed on Monday, Oct. 9, reopening on Tuesday, Oct. 10. Residents can contact TransHelp at 905-791-1015 with questions.

Emergency homeless shelters will remain open. They can be contacted by phone or by using the online Find a Shelter tool. For emergencies related to food, medication or personal support, residents can call the Region of Peel at 905-791-7800.
