Home areas
Sheridan Villa’s resident home areas are spacious, bright and welcoming. Each area has its own dining room, a designated space for activities, a lounge and a terrace.

A greenhouse, spacious lobby with a café, tuck shop and numerous cozy seating areas are welcoming features of the main floor.

A therapeutic garden on the south side of the building has raised flower and vegetable beds, a water fountain, herb garden and gazebo. It’s the perfect place for residents to relax in the summer and participate in horticultural activities. Sheridan Villa's outdoor garden provides a safe environment for residents with dementia.

Sheridan Villa is home to birds and fish.

Special Behaviour Support Unit

The Special Behaviour Support Unit (SBSU) is a 19-bed unit within Sheridan Villa for clients who have a primary diagnosis of dementia with significant behaviours that cannot be managed in the client's current environment. It is a transitional treatment unit and not intended to be a resource for emergency treatment.

Resident and Family Councils

The Resident Council meets monthly to provide a forum for residents to discuss concerns and make suggestions for improvements in their quality of life within the home.

The Family Council meets on a monthly basis to bring forward questions or concerns related to resident care. It is an opportunity for family members to meet and become part of the Sheridan Villa community.

Community partnerships

Early Years Program
Sheridan Villa has developed several partnerships with local organizations.  The Early Years Program operates the Parents and Tots centre on the first floor every weekday morning. Residents often visit to interact with children and participate in activities together. Local schools and entertainers also visit frequently to perform for residents at special events and celebrations.

Sheridan Villa Volunteer Auxiliary assists with many programs and raises funds for the home.
