Housing is the foundation for people's well-being... it helps people secure jobs and raise their families. It builds strong and inclusive neighbourhoods.
That's why housing is such an important focus for the community. That's why individuals and groups in Peel came together to create
In 2013, Peel residents, community agencies, the Region of Peel and other key stakeholders collaborated to create the Peel Housing and Homelessness Plan. It aims to increase safe, affordable, accessible and appropriate housing in Peel.
The 10-year plan is the first of its kind in Peel. By working together as a community, we're able to share each other's knowledge, creativity, resources and funding to deliver better services to Peel residents.
The plan helps us deliver services that best respond to Peel's social and housing needs. It impacts human service policy decisions. It impacts our economy and workforce.
Reports have been created documenting the progress on the first two years of the plan.
