School-Based Immunization Clinics

Peel Public Health nurses provide vaccines in school-based immunization clinics for students in grade 7 and 8.

  • These vaccines are free of charge and provide protection against very serious diseases.
  • Meningococcal vaccine is required for school attendance.
  • Hepatitis B and HPV (Human Papillomavirus) vaccines are voluntary but strongly recommended by Peel Public Health.
  • Immunization clinics are held 3 times during the school year.
