A by-law to implement limited duration parking on the west side of Regional Road 50 (Highway 50) from 15 metres north of Pine Avenue / Church Street to 30 metres south of Birch Avenue; and to amend By-law Number 15-2013 being a by-law to regulate traffic on roads under the jurisdiction of The Regional Municipality of Peel.
WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Corporation on the 24th day of January 2013 passed By-law 15-2013 to consolidate the by-laws that regulate traffic on roads under jurisdiction of The Regional Municipality of Peel;
AND WHEREAS, the Council of The Regional Municipality of Peel has by resolution passed on the 22nd day of February, 2024, authorized the enactment of a by-law to amend By-law 15-2013 to designate 15 minutes parking limit on the west side of Regional Road 50 (Highway 50) from 15 metres north of Pine Avenue / Church Street to 30 metres south of Birch Avenue;
AND WHEREAS, motorists who park longer than the set limited duration parking will be liable to a fine in accordance with Section 19 of By-law 15-2013, and the Provincial Offences Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter P.33, as amended;
Now therefore, the Council of the Regional Corporation enacts as follows:
Where official parking with duration signs are erected and on display, no person shall Park a Vehicle on a Highway set out in Schedule A of this by- law, Part 27, Column 1, on the side set out in Column 2, between the limits set out in Column 3, during the times or days set out in Column 4 for a longer period than set out in Column 5 of the said Part.
