WHEREAS under the provisions of section 11(3) of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, the Council of The Regional Municipality of Peel (the “Region”) may pass by-laws respecting highways, including parking and traffic on highways which are under the jurisdiction of The Regional Municipality of Peel;

AND WHEREAS on the 16th day of June, 2005 the Council of the Region passed By-law 57-2005 to consolidate the by-laws that regulate traffic on roads under the jurisdiction of The Regional Municipality of Peel;

AND WHEREAS the Council of the Region has by resolution passed on the 26th day of April, 2012, authorized the enactment of a by-law to amend By-law 57-2005 with respect to removal of the heavy truck restriction on Regional Road 4 (Dixie Road) from Regional Road 14 (Mayfield Road) to Regional Road 9 (King Street);

NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Region hereby enacts as follows:
