Who We Are
The Children's Services Operations and Service System Management are part of the Region of Peel's Human Services department. Other divisions in the department are Ontario Works, Social Housing, Peel Living and Integrated Business Support.
What We Do
We lead, plan and manage a Region-wide early learning and child care system that provides families and children with access to a range of family-centred, co-ordinated services.
Service System Management Division:
- Plans and administers Region-wide early learning and care system for approximately 24,000 licensed child care spaces for children birth to 12 years
- Provides child care fee subsidy
- Manages over 150 service agreement contracts with community agencies across 450 sites
- Family and child support programs
- Community programs and workshops
- Plans and implements integrated early years services for children up to six years old through Best Start in Peel
Children's Services Operations Division:
- Provides family and child support programs
- Provides community programs and workshops like Emergency management
- Are committed to providing high-quality, inclusive early learning and child care to support families in the Region of Peel.
