Celebrate the Bravery of our Canadian Heroes
Observe a moment of silence on Sunday, Nov. 11
The Region of Peel joins millions of Canadians in observing a moment of silence for those who served and continue to serve Canada in times of war, conflict and peace. This is an important way to show our respect and gratitude to those who have made it possible for us to live where peace, order and democracy are valued and respected.
Get a Digital Poppy
This year, the Royal Canadian Legion has launched a digital version of the poppy, which is available online at mypoppy.ca. The digital poppy can be customized, shared online or used to create a profile image on social media websites. Individuals can personalize it by adding their name to one side and create it in memory of someone else by adding the person’s name to the other side.
