Region of Peel Receives Triple-A Credit Rating

main

Region of Peel is One of Only 12 Canadian Municipalities to Receive Triple-A Credit Rating

Resulting from responsible use of tax dollars and long-term financial sustainability

The Region of Peel's Triple-A credit rating was reaffirmed by both Moody's Investor Services and S&P Global Rating. We have held a Triple-A credit rating for 22 consecutive years.

We are one of only 12 Canadian municipalities with this credit rating – the highest possible credit rating available to a municipality or region.

This rating is a reflection of our every-day commitment to manage tax dollars responsibly and deliver value-added, affordable services to residents and businesses today and over the long-term.

Maintaining a high credit rating is one of the key outcomes of the Region's Long Term Financial Planning Strategy (LTFPS), which guides Regional investments in services, programs and infrastructure to meet the needs of Peel residents, businesses and community partners today and in the future. It supports the Region's 20-year Strategic Plan with a vision of building a Community for Life across Peel.
